The Area
Leiper's Fork is an unincorporated rural village in Williamson County, listed as a historic district on the National Register, with roughly 650 residents across about 1,100 acres. It sits along the Natchez Trace Parkway, shares the 37064 postcode with Franklin, and lies about eight miles from downtown Franklin.
Of 25 sales along the Leiper’s Fork corridor, twelve closed above $2M — nearly half the market. Three of those cleared $5M, and the top sale reached $17,500,000 on Old Hillsboro Rd. The median lot ran 6.02 acres, and the median closing came in at 92.6% of the original ask. On a market this small, read every figure as direction rather than precision.

Settlement dates to the late 1700s, when Revolutionary War veterans received land grants covering the village site, leaving a historic core. Current stock is an eclectic mix of farmhouses, colonials, sprawling estates and Cape Cods, median year built 1984, averaging 3,884 square feet.

A small-batch Tennessee whiskey distillery on twenty-seven acres at Southall Road, just outside the village. Hour-long guided tours follow the grain-to-glass process through a stillhouse built around a 500-gallon Scottish-style copper pot still, ending with a tasting in a restored two-hundred-year-old log cabin. Open Wednesday to Sunday, with live music Friday to Sunday from March through October.
A fine-art gallery on Old Hillsboro Road in the heart of the village, more than two decades in operation and housed in a historic building. The collection spans representational painting through abstract expressionism and sculpture, all by established professional artists, with regular shows and openings. There is a front porch with a fire pit and a Lawnchair Theater used for music and a summer movie series.
The parkway's northern terminus sits in Williamson County, and 8.7 miles south of it the Natchez Trace Parkway Bridge carries the road 145 feet above State Route 96 on a 1,572-foot double-arch span — the first segmentally constructed concrete arch bridge in the United States, opened in 1994. Near Leiper's Fork, the Garrison Creek site is the northern trailhead for the 24-mile Highland Rim Trail, with picnic tables, a pavilion and horse-trailer parking.

In the country store that has sat at the centre of the village since the mid-twentieth century, and which operated for years as Puckett's of Leiper's Fork before being renamed. A Southern comfort-food room and an acclaimed live-music venue in one — mismatched tables, a grocery section at the back, a stage at the front. Ticketed evening shows, a Thursday open mic and free weekend daytime music.
Directly across Old Hillsboro Road from Fox & Locke, the long-standing local breakfast-and-lunch room — Southern cooking in a plain, casual diner — through a four-decade run and several owners. Wednesday to Sunday, with dinner added on Friday and Saturday.
A speakeasy-style cocktail bar in the basement beneath The Country Boy, entered by exterior stairs under a small green light; the space was historically the building's tornado shelter. Dark green walls, leather couches and bookshelves make a deliberate contrast with the diner upstairs. Craft cocktails, charcuterie and live music from local songwriters, Thursday to Saturday.
