Just over 1,400 acres around an 85-acre lake, Radnor was Tennessee's first designated State Natural Area. Its 7.75 miles of trail are reserved for walking and wildlife observation — jogging is prohibited throughout, and bicycles are confined to the Otter Creek Road Trail. Open from six in the morning until twenty minutes after sunset.
Amy Kurland opened the Bluebird on New Year's Day 1982 as a hundred-seat room in a Green Hills strip mall, and it originated the in-the-round format in 1985 — four songwriters in the centre of the room, trading songs. Garth Brooks was signed after a show here in 1987; Scott Borchetta first saw Taylor Swift on this stage in 2004. It runs on a strict listening-room policy of silence during performances.
A 55-acre estate built on the Maxwell House coffee fortune, its limestone mansion designed by Bryant Fleming and finished in 1932; the family opened it as a botanical garden and art museum in 1960. Visitors tour the house and its American art collections, walk formal and woodland gardens, and follow a sculpture trail set with ten works through the grounds.

It remains private and member-owned. A century of additions takes in tennis, a pool, a fitness centre and several dining rooms.
